Japanese engineers have a knack for wowing the world with their latest technological marvels. Recently, at the InterDrone exhibition in Las Vegas, the company Prodrone unveiled their newest creation that has grabbed everyone's attention. They took the concept of a regular drone and added multi-functional mechanical arms to it, creating a highly innovative and practical mechanism.

Possibilities of a Drone with Arms

This drone boasts impressive autonomy, capable of staying airborne for up to half an hour. Not only that, but it's also very fast, reaching speeds of up to 60 km/h. However, the standout feature of this drone is its two mechanical manipulators that can lift and transport loads of up to 10 kilograms. In addition to carrying items, the drone can cut wires, unscrew valves, and lift levers.

Applications of Such a Device

To showcase the capabilities of the device, the developers created a special promo video. In the video, the drone lifts weights, performs various sharp maneuvers, transports water containers without spilling a drop, and does many other fascinating tasks.

Thanks to its capabilities, this drone will undoubtedly appeal to first responders (aiding in water rescues, safely moving items from a distance), the military (performing various complex tasks remotely), and the general public.

While the developers have not revealed the launch date for mass production of the device, it is expected to happen soon.

Although the mechanical manipulators essentially function like hands, visually, they bear a striking resemblance to bird talons. Just watch how the drone lands on them; the resemblance to a large bird is truly astonishing.
