Having your own business is highly prestigious, but success will depend on the underlying idea. The most common idea, of course, is the timeless "buy-sell" engine. Buy cheap, sell high. But there are also crazy ideas that may seem insane at first glance. However, even such thoughts find their embodiment.

How about the idea of making money from gestures?! Yes, there is such an organization that earns from gestures and romance. Their goal is for people to give gestures and stop giving standard gifts. They provide services such as laser projections on buildings, rooftop dates, serenades under windows, graffiti on asphalt. Usually, people in relationships should think about enhancing and brightening their connections. Unfortunately, this is challenging because young people are busy making money and hardly have time to think about surprising their significant other. Hence, there's very little romance. This organization precisely helps people perform romantic gestures. This service has an exclusive nature. It is affordably priced because exclusive items for sale do not always have to be expensive.

Have you heard of the “Life Button” project?! One would immediately associate it with a charitable project. However, it is a classic social business. Many believe that social business is akin to charity, but in reality, it is not; social business solves society's problems that the state hasn't addressed, operating within the framework of a business. The Life Button is the first medical alert system in the country for elderly or disabled individuals. It works very simply – there's a device with an SOS button, like a bracelet; if a person in distress presses the button, a signal is sent to a 24/7 call center with an on-call doctor who can help promptly. Requests can range from medical to non-medical; some devices even have location detection features. Consequently, a relative who loses a grandparent can call the company and inquire about their whereabouts. This service is popular in Moscow and costs $8.50 per month.

Another unusual business idea is a media agency also established in Moscow, helping scientists package and effectively pitch their projects to either foreign investors or local development institutions. It is an educational initiative that functions as a commercial project. In this agency, one can learn about the basics of creative business implementation within contemporary industries, primarily focusing on media, urban, and design projects.

The next idea isn't just unusual but completely unexpected. Carnivorous plants. Has anyone heard of them?! Personally, I haven't. Yet, there exists a company that sells these miracle plants. Carnivorous plants prey on insects, luring them with sweet nectar, hunting, devouring, and digesting them. The firm not only sells plants but also conducts workshops on caring for them. Truly a monopoly indeed.

In essence, with an unusual business, one has to recreate the market. This presents a huge challenge since there are no competitors, but also no existing market. In reality, for every business, even the craziest ones, there is a market but it needs careful scrutiny. A business starts selling well when creativity and simplicity are well-combined.

How does one distinguish a crazy idea from a profitable one?! Only practice can help here. One must experiment; if the first client is found but realizes that a lot of effort, resources, and time have been expended, then changing the niche might be necessary. Best of luck in your business ventures, friends!
