Everyone knows that artificial intelligence has become an integral part of our lives in recent decades. Let's put aside the moral and ethical debates surrounding these inventions for now – many people are uneasy about robots taking on various "human" functions. Nevertheless, progress is inevitable, and many inventors continue to craft amazing AI-based devices.
One such creation is the "Poet on the Shore," a robot designed by Yusi Liu to defend a dissertation at a Scottish university. Its primary function is to roam the beach and compose poetry. It does so based on its perception of surrounding events such as weather, time of day, presence of people on the coast, and more. This robot sports a cubic shape, moves on four wheels, and writes its verses directly in the sand. According to Yusi, her creation stands out dramatically from other robots, carrying a profound emotional and spiritual message.
