Creating Custom Photo Wall Art

Hello there! Let me tell you how I started my small but profitable business - producing custom photo tiles and wall murals.

Interior decor is always a hot topic that everyone eventually wrestles with. When I decided to renovate and install a ceramic decorative wall mural at home, I faced the challenge of not being able to order a wall mural featuring my own photo. Stores offered ready-made wall murals with standard designs, but what if I didn't like any of the available images? After talking to vendors, I discovered that many customers wanted custom wall murals from their own photos. This gave me the idea to start a business: creating custom wall murals from customer photos, considering the demand exists but the supply is lacking.

The technologies available in Europe didn't suit me - they were labor-intensive, costly, and required setting up an actual workshop. So I decided to explore more fitting options online.

I ended up purchasing an affordable American tablet printer for transferring photos onto ceramics, glass, and metal. I ordered it from the website phototile.com. Making photo tiles with it is straightforward: first, we apply a special lacquer to the tile, then we print the design or photo like on regular paper, and finally, we heat the tile with the design in an oven for about 15 minutes. It's that simple. No complex setup required - just a regular computer, Photoshop, and photo printing.

You can print any image, be it a painting reproduction or your own photo. The printer can work not only on tiles but also on glass, stone, metal, wood, and plastic. The beauty of this technology lies in the fact that you can set up production entirely by yourself, practically at home.

Special inks are used for printing, containing polymers that make the image bright and permanent when heated. These tiles are vibrant and perfect for decorating walls in apartments, kitchens, bathrooms, offices, and more.

Another plus is the extremely low production cost: printing one square meter of tile costs only $6 and takes approximately half an hour.

I printed my first custom wall murals at home for myself and my friends. They were very pleased with my work and recommended me to their friends. Gradually, I started receiving a significant number of orders.

Currently, I offer custom photo tile and wall mural production services in two cities. I collaborate with tile shops and several photo studios where I offer custom decorative wall mural production services, including from customer photos. This service is highly popular as I have almost no competitors in terms of price, quality, and order fulfillment speed.
