Idea

Tabula Sense's developer, Andrey Rogozin, has a background in advertising and understands the importance of a quality workspace. Hence, he came up with the concept of a "smart desk," incorporating all the essential features for convenient office or home work.

Initially planned to complete the prototype in one month, the process extended to 1 year and 2 months. This was due in part to sourcing cost-effective components, sometimes requiring orders from abroad or inventing analogs. As a result, the cost of one standard model amounted to around $500.

Functionality

Tabula Sense's tabletop is crafted from plywood and veneered for lightweight construction. The desk also features detachable legs for easy transportation.

In addition, the desk comes with essential gadgets:

The desk layout is designed for optimal comfort during work. A special model is available for standing work as well.

This trend is popular in Western countries, where such desks cost a fortune. In this case, developers simply used telescopic legs to adjust the desk height comfortably.

Implementation

Prior to developing Tabula Sense, Andrey Rogozin tested the niche and created a realistic desk prototype with an industrial designer, along with a landing page. Thanks to a well-planned advertising campaign, numerous inquiries flooded in. Additionally, a product video was released after the first model was created.

Over 35 dealers offered to distribute Tabula Sense, with premium business owners from various countries like Kazakhstan, Russia, and the UAE expressing interest. The retail price for a standard model is around $1000, and $1500 with telescopic legs. Considering the production cost, this business can be incredibly profitable, as there is virtually no competition in the niche.
