While most global technical brands are diligently working on creating virtual reality devices, others are introducing devices that can capture the surrounding reality through our eyes. For instance, the company Blinca from Japan recently launched a crowdfunding campaign on platforms like Kickstarter to create the Indiegogo device. This camera will allow individuals to take photos simply by blinking. Its developer, Shota Takase, began working on such a device during his university years and continuously improved it over time. Now, it is ready for mass production.
How Indiegogo Works
The device operates on a simple principle. It is a special camera that attaches to glasses. One lens is directed outward, allowing the device to see what you see from the same angle. Special motion sensors are directed toward the eye. When these sensors detect the eye closing for a slightly longer period than a typical blink, a photo is taken. The photo is instantly transmitted to your smartphone using Bluetooth technology.
The device's battery can last for 8 hours of continuous shooting. With it, you can take unique photos without being distracted from your daily activities. This way, you can capture moments as you see them without losing the instant or distorting it through a camera or smartphone lens.
Financial Aspect of the Project
To kickstart the production of Indiegogo, around $30,000 needs to be raised. Through pre-orders, you can purchase such a device for just $200. The device's official sales launch is scheduled for the spring of 2017.
Share this information with friends on social media and find out if they would like to have such a camera.
