The Baby Stroller Principle

y Hartwell designed a dome-shaped tent based on the principle of a baby stroller. This allows for easy setup within seconds to enjoy beautiful landscapes or provide protection from wind and rain. The tent frame is lightweight yet very durable due to the fiberglass material. Because of this and Mollusc's form, it is highly stable and can withstand strong wind gusts. The dome material is coated with polyurethane, while the floor is made of nylon. Despite being zippered together for better wind and rain protection, full waterproofing is not guaranteed.

ollusc can be used in three positions:

1. Fully enclosed, providing protection from the elements.
2. Fully open, allowing one to embrace the surroundings.
3. An intermediate option, shielding from wind and sun without blocking the view.

Dimensions and Price

The Mollusc tent is available in two versions:

• Standard with a 6-meter floor diameter and 3-meter height;
• Nano with a 3-meter floor diameter and 1.6-meter height.

The price is quite high, but for true eco-tourism enthusiasts, it is not a barrier. The standard dome costs 10,000 British pounds, and the Nano is priced at 2,000 British pounds.

Ry Hartwell believes his invention can enable overnight stays even on the Moon. As a true nature lover, he has committed to planting 100 trees in Kenya for each tent produced.
