During outdoor strolls with a little one, young parents often face a common issue - the child quickly gets tired and wants to be carried. Most parents usually lift their kids onto their shoulders, but as experience shows, this is not the most convenient way to carry a child. Firstly, even the most resilient parents cannot carry a child in this position for several hours, and secondly, there is a risk of the child falling with any careless movement. For such situations, experts have developed several excellent devices that significantly ease parents' lives during walks with their little ones.
Sling
A sling is a general term for a variety of fabric devices for carrying infants and young children up to 2-3 years old. The idea of carrying a child in various configurations of fabric "pouches" is not new; people from different cultures have been carrying children in various cloths, scarves, and similar wraps since ancient times. This method of carrying a child during walks is incredibly popular because the sling promotes freedom of movement for both the mother and the child, maintaining close contact between them.
The main advantage of a sling is that it is safe, does not harm the parent's posture, and can be shaped differently and worn in various positions - both in front and on the back. The weight is evenly distributed, allowing the child to be carried for several hours without causing fatigue. Another benefit is the affordability of a sling, as it can be made even from a regular scarf. Thus, this method of carrying children is very simple and reliable.
Piggyback Rider
In its configuration, the Piggyback Rider resembles a regular backpack but with an important feature - a bar on which the child can be securely attached while being able to move freely. This device is designed for children aged 3 to 7 years. The Piggyback Rider itself weighs 3 kg, which is relatively light for such a design.
The developers of the Piggyback Rider claim that this method of carrying a child during walks is safe for both the parent and the child, as it does not create a heavy load on the spine and joints. Additionally, the creators have added an extra compartment for belongings, allowing you to carry all the essentials. Therefore, using such a device is not risky and very convenient even over long distances.
Saddle Baby
Unlike the previous option, the Saddle Baby differs in its configuration. In the Saddle Baby, the child can enjoy outdoor walks while sitting in a comfortable chair and having the freedom to move without obstacles.
The child's legs are securely fastened with soft straps that prevent any falls. The only drawback of such a device is its cost, which at times exceeds the price of a child's car seat.
