Solar Panels: Harnessing the Power of the Sun and Rain
When it comes to solar panels, it's not just a new invention. They have been actively used in various innovations such as smart homes, solar-powered airplanes, and more for quite some time. They are becoming increasingly integrated into our lives, yet they have not become the primary source of energy supply.
But why is that? Few have considered the efficiency of solar panels, which stands at only 22%. This low efficiency is why the environmentally friendly energy from solar panels is not yet widely adopted. Additionally, there are places in the world where using solar panels is almost impossible, such as countries with frequent rainfall. For such locations, a new type of solar panel has been developed that not only operates on solar power but also on rain energy. However, these panels have a significant drawback — their efficiency does not exceed 6.5%.
How Do Solar-Rain Panels Work?
Originating from China, these solar panels function like traditional solar panels in sunny weather. However, during rainy weather, they generate and absorb energy using a special graphene coating just one atom thick. This coating enables the generation of another form of clean energy.
This new technology operates similarly to the mechanism at the Grand Coulee Dam, where the force of water is converted into electricity. Developers applied the principle of an electrical capacitor. The graphene layer acts as electrons, which, upon encountering ions from raindrops, create a spark. This spark is the electrical energy generated. The challenge now is to increase the useful output significantly.
Perhaps among your friends, there are individuals who can tackle this task? Who knows, soon we might be widely using rain energy? But for now, share this information on social media to spread this beneficial idea.
