PAL-V, a European company based in the Netherlands, is now allowing pre-orders for the PAL-V Liberty, the first certified flying car for commercial purposes. What once seemed like a fantasy just a few years ago has now become a reality. According to TechCrunch, the price of this innovative vehicle ranges from $400,000 to $600,000.

Design and Features

The PAL-V Liberty is a three-wheeled vehicle designed for up to two passengers and equipped with foldable rotor blades. Its capabilities include a maximum ground speed of 180 km/h and a maximum air speed of 160 km/h. However, despite its flying abilities, there are limitations - it requires a runway for takeoff and landing.

Models and Price of the Flying Car

You can purchase the flying car in either the standard model or the Pioneer edition. The standard model costs $400,000, while the Pioneer edition is priced at $600,000. The main difference between the two lies in the instrument panels; the standard model features an analog panel, while the pricier Pioneer model boasts a digital display. Additionally, the Pioneer edition allows for personalized interior finishes and paint colors, along with the option for training with a company instructor.

Pre-ordering the PAL-V Liberty requires a $10,000 deposit for the standard model and $25,000 for the Pioneer edition. If the car is not purchased after pre-ordering, the deposit is non-refundable. For an additional $2,500, you can secure a spot in the queue, ensuring a purchase priority once mass production begins.
