Drone Capable of Lifting a Couple of People into the Air

The number of drones and their significance in various industries are growing at a rapid pace. It's no wonder that new varieties of these devices are emerging very frequently. One such improved drone has been presented by the Norwegian company Griff Aviation. This model is named Griff 300, known for its ability to carry two people at once along with heavy cargo.

Technical Specifications

The drone is quite massive, weighing around 165 pounds, but impresses with its payload capacity. It can lift up to 495 pounds at once. Additionally, the drone can move at a relatively high speed and can fly continuously for about 45 minutes under maximum load.

This type of drone is operated from the ground using a special remote control. Griff Aviation can also equip the drone with a first-person visual control system.

Why is this technology needed?

In addition to directly using drones for transporting large cargoes, another important purpose is various types of rescue operations. The Griff 300 can operate in extreme conditions and, due to its high payload capacity and autonomous operation, can transport up to 2 victims of different disasters over long distances simultaneously.

Griff Aviation has no plans to stop at the current achievement. Currently, the Norwegians are working on a more powerful version of the drone with a payload capacity exceeding 1,760 pounds.
