Enhancing Cycling Comfort with Rinsten Spring

Long rides on a bicycle, especially on rough terrain, can be quite tiring. It's not just about physical endurance (keep training, and you'll get there!), but also about comfort. Many cyclists are familiar with the pains and discomfort around the tailbone and lower back caused by riding over uneven surfaces and the rigid response of the saddle.

Innovative Solution by Ukrainian Inventors

Feeling fed up with this situation, Ukrainian inventors Yuri Kopitsa and Katerina Kravchuk designed a special shock absorber to dampen sharp saddle vibrations in all directions. Their project, named Rinsten Spring, was launched on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter with a budget of $15,000. Surpassing half of the required amount within the first day, production is expected to commence in April.

Simplicity and Efficiency

Oftentimes, the birth of an idea follows prolonged suffering during rides and an equally long quest for a solution using existing resources. As no such solution was found, the Rinsten Spring design was developed from scratch. It is relatively simple, consisting of five parts and, as estimated by its creators, can be mounted on any bicycle in just a minute. It absorbs not only vertically directed load from the wheels but also frontal and lateral loads.

Affordable and Reliable

Once in mass production, the product will be priced at $50, with the initial sales scheduled for June-July. However, ordering on Kickstarter currently saves you fifty percent. The manufacturers are reportedly so confident in the product's reliability that they are willing to offer a lifetime warranty!
