That's why German mountaineering enthusiast Nils Forbes has designed a completely new device to address the shortcomings of solar panels and serve as an ideal energy source during mountain hikes. This device is the Micro Wind Turbine, or portable wind turbine for charging smart devices, which is more efficient and has compact dimensions.

Device Features

After studying existing wind generators, conducting a series of tests, and analyzing power, performance, size, and stability ratios, Forbes created a device weighing around 1 kg. The turbine model can be completely disassembled and reassembled, and when disassembled, it is secured by special fastening ropes. With wind present, this device can generate energy 24 hours a day. To ensure that the turbine's sails capture wind flows regardless of speed or direction, Nils connected the turbine to the cylinder shaft. Unlike competitors, the rotor is directly linked to the generator shaft, allowing the turbine to operate efficiently even in light winds. At a wind speed of 18 km/h, the wind turbine can produce 5 watts of power.
