The concept of buses where people can not only sit but also lie down is not new. In the United States, many music bands and their technical crews touring the country have long been using this type of transport to move from one city to another. In fact, they practically live in these buses, as they often do not even pay for hotel rooms for overnight stays. Recently, this type of bus has been used by SleepBus company to transport regular passengers from Los Angeles to San Francisco and back - covering approximately 600 miles.
Features of SleepBus Company's Buses
Traveling by car or bus for long distances can be uncomfortable: legs can swell, lower back can ache, and sitting for long periods can be very tiring. This is why many opt for train travel for long distances, despite it taking more time. Alternatively, they fly by plane, which is also not always convenient as flights are costly and security checks often take longer than the flight itself.
By utilizing a sleeper bus, one can enjoy additional benefits of bus travel:
- On the road, you can sleep as comfortably as in a regular train compartment, stretching out in a cozy berth.
- Each passenger is provided with individual lighting, a power outlet, free tea, coffee, and Wi-Fi.
- The bus also includes seated areas.
- If a passenger encounters any issues, there is a designated attendant onboard.
The bus can accommodate 20 passengers comfortably. A one-way ticket costs $48. Each trip generates $720 for the company owner. Tickets for upcoming trips are selling out for the next few months.
Share with your friends on social media; perhaps someone will initiate a similar business in your city, connecting the most promising routes for the next decade, before future high-speed transportation arrives in town.
