How It Works

n the outer wall of the device is a rack where a dozen items are hung using clips. Then, the user selects the garment type (such as shirts, blouses, or pants) via buttons and waits briefly. The device draws in the clothing, folds it, steams to smoothen wrinkles, and dispenses the neatly folded item into a designated compartment. It takes approximately 10 seconds per item and an additional 20 seconds for steaming per item.

However, like any mechanical device, FoldiMate has its limitations. It is quite heavy at 30 kg, making it somewhat challenging for homemakers to move around. The rack can only hold a maximum of 10 items, necessitating multiple folding sessions for extensive laundry loads. Additionally, it cannot fold large items like sheets or comforters, or very small items like underwear or socks, so those will still need manual attention. Lastly, the price ranges from $700 to $850, which may not be affordable for everyone.

Yet, considering most people's inclination towards convenience, it's safe to say that this device's concept is excellent and will prove highly beneficial for thousands of homemakers who can now engage in more enjoyable activities instead of laundry chores.
