Newcomers in the field of online business often face the challenge of obtaining unique content for their website. Indeed, unique articles, photos, and video materials are what attract visitors to websites. Additionally, search engines prefer information that has not been previously available online. And as the saying goes, where there are visitors, there is money to be made.
In one of the upcoming articles, we will discuss how and where to acquire unique textual content. For now, let's delve into the topic of unique images for websites. To put it briefly, unique site images can be created in the following ways:
- Use your own photographs. If you are a skilled photographer or have the ability to take interesting shots, this method is ideal for you.
- Create your own drawings in Photoshop. If you are a designer or artist, you can draw illustrations for articles using graphic design software. Modern gadgets like brushes for touch devices can be extremely helpful in this process.
- Scan drawings and digitize images from old magazines and books. Visit a library to discover a variety of pictures. This can be a good source of unique images, although finding a suitable image for your specified theme may not always be easy.
- Download images from the internet and edit them. This method is not entirely ethical as it involves using someone else's work. Ideally, credit should be given to the source. Modern search engines can detect identical images, even if their size or color differs. The only quick way to make an internet image unique is to mirror it. However, you must ensure that there is no text or widely recognized details (such as logos) in the image, as viewers can easily spot the duplication. Additionally, there is a chance that someone has already performed a similar operation before you, diminishing the uniqueness of the image.
- Find an old photo album in a dump, scan the photos, and share them online. Here is a real-life story related to this peculiar method:
Several years ago, a man stumbled upon an old photo album at a dump in a city. The pile of debris contained various items: clothes, bags, hats, old furniture, magazines, books, and a large, homemade album filled with photos that had been severely tainted by moisture and mold. Some of the photos were well-preserved and dated back to the 60s and 70s of the last century.
Impressed by the photos, the lucky man took the album home, scanned it, and shared it on his blog. The photo collection received significant acclaim among bloggers who diligently shared the link with one another.
The author of the album was identified as a certain Lev Gelderman (the name was deciphered from the cover). Little information about this individual was found online. The only detail discovered was that he was a member of a photography club in Murmansk. It later emerged that the author had passed away long ago, and his apartment was flooded, damaging not only the album but also his other works, leading to the disposal of the album to prevent mold from spreading.
Lev Gelderman was a civil engineer by profession. Having spent most of his life in Murmansk, he dedicated all his free time to photography. The photographer's works were described as simple yet brilliant. His exhibitions were held not only in the Soviet Union but also across Europe, the United States, Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, and Korea, where he garnered numerous awards, medals, and diplomas. As a result, he became a member of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), a prestigious organization that requires hundreds of exhibitions and a certain number of awards for membership.
Gelderman believed that the essence of photography lay in capturing a distinctive moment of a particular period in time, providing an honest portrayal of that moment. He emphasized that each piece of art could have varying quality, and photography held diverse value.
The story of Lev Gelderman is undeniably unique and serves as a reminder of the abundance of talented individuals in our world, even within our immediate surroundings. Discovering and recognizing them, like finding sources of unique content, can often lead us to unexpected places. In conclusion, let's reflect on a timeless biblical wisdom: "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you."
