Today we'll discuss a business idea that might interest entrepreneurs involved in selling computer equipment, those in the art goods market, designers, and artists. The potential consumer base for the product we're talking about is quite broad.
In the modern world, many professionals are transitioning to digital tools. Designers and artists are no exception. More and more, their work involves computer graphics created using tablets or other touch devices. Tablets have become essential when sketching, editing photos, or showcasing portfolios to potential clients.
How was the digital brush created?
However, drawing on tablets without the right tools can be challenging. This issue inspired the developers of Sensu Brush. Based in Illinois, USA, the team known as Artist Hardware set out to create a brush for digital artists. In 2011, they launched the project "Sensu Brush: A True Painting Experience on Your iPad" on Kickstarter.com, where funding was collaborative. The required funds were raised within days, and by 2012, the first Sensu Brush models were released for sale.
What can you do with this accessory?
The brush is primarily designed for drawing on any touch capacitive screen, found on devices like tablets, netbooks, and smartphones. The brush allows for creating art similar to traditional brushes, enabling users to produce impressive work even in basic graphic editors. Examples of artwork created with Sensu Brush can be viewed on their website.
Sensu Brush is not just for professional artists. Anyone, adults or children, can bring their creative ideas to life. For parents whose children love drawing and constantly need new paints and paper, a tablet with an electronic brush can be a treasure, serving as an endless sketchpad.
What does the brush look like and how is it designed?
Sensu Brush features a brush tip with a stylus on the reverse side. Additionally, it comes with a cap-handle that can be fitted on either end of the device. The stylus is an optional addon to the brush. The brush surface is smooth and chrome-plated with a rubberized grip for comfort. The bristles are made of special conductive fibers, necessary for use on touch devices. The brush does not require recharging or traditional power sources like batteries, which is a plus for customers. The device weighs around 30 grams, optimal for hand comfort.
Which devices are compatible with the brush?
The brush-stylus works seamlessly on most capacitive touch devices, such as iPads, iPhones, all generations of iPod Touch, Samsung Galaxy, Kindle Fire, HTC Desire S, Motorola Atrix, Google Nexus S, and more. Suitable graphic editors include SketchBook Pro, Sketch Time, Brushes, Auryn Ink, Paper, Procreate, and Art Rage.
What is the price?
The official retail price from the manufacturer is around $35. The device is not widely available in our market yet, presenting an advantage for early adopters. Purchasing a Sensu Brush could be a great investment for artists and a memorable gift for creative tablet owners.
