Today, TutorOnline employs nearly 500 tutors, with 8,000 students attending online lessons daily. The support team, available 7 days a week, assists parents with their questions and concerns.

Online School Origins

Alexander, why did you decide to create an online school?

My experience as a tutor made me familiar with the challenges tutors face. The idea to shift education online and establish a virtual school stemmed from my wife. She, a Russian language teacher, assisted her niece remotely during maternity leave, inspiring the birth of TutorOnline.

Student Experience

How do students engage on the site?

Students register on the site, meet orientation instructors, and select tutors based on their schedules. Lessons involve an interactive whiteboard, with Skype facilitating real-time communication.

Was the transition to virtual classrooms a risky move?

TutorOnline's investment in the whiteboard and site development has proven fruitful. Despite business setbacks, including a significant staff reduction in 2012, the venture evolved through crises and market fluctuations.
