In recent times, the issue of energy has become increasingly important for forward-thinking individuals, and one of the most promising ways to obtain safe energy is through the use of solar panels. Solar panels have been gaining popularity in all progressive countries around the world. Japan has already started constructing entire factories for generating solar energy, and soon we can expect the active utilization of various solar panels in our own country.
One of the most promising ways to provide your home with affordable electricity is by using shingles covered with various solar panels. It is noteworthy that with each passing year, panel production technologies are improving, leading to significant price reductions for such roofing materials while enhancing their operational quality. Previously, the cost of such roofing would break even in about 10 years of use; nowadays, this method of securing electricity has become much more accessible.
On the modern market, several types of solar panels are available:
- Flexible film, which can be installed on an existing metal roof without the need for extensive roof modifications. Maintenance and repair of such panels are simple and do not require specialized knowledge.
- Solar panels integrated into metal shingles. This type of roofing is ideal for new construction projects. Typically, such shingles are more efficient in operation compared to adhesive film for existing roofs.
- Solar systems integrated into clay tiles. A prime example is the Panatron system, combining high-quality photovoltaic elements with traditional ceramic shingles.
- Flexible bituminous photovoltaic shingles, significantly reducing stress on a home's load-bearing structures.
By selecting the right type of photovoltaic elements and roof coverage area, achieving complete autonomy for your home is possible, as proposed by Elon Musk in the Powerwall project. There are already small communities that not only self-generate electricity but can also sell excess power.
In our country, the production and installation of such panels are still in their early stages, presenting an opportunity to orient oneself and start working on this business idea. Currently, the competition level for equipping homes with solar panels remains low. Even without opening a complex and costly production facility, one could engage in panel imports from abroad and offer installation services.
Currently, the prices for various types of panels are quite high for the average resident in our country (for instance, a Tegosolar shingle sheet can be purchased for $480 to $570). Achieving high sales levels of solar panel shingles without implementing a deferred payment system or a credit program is unlikely right now. However, over the coming decade, prices for solar panel shingles will undoubtedly decrease. Preparing for this moment could lead to successful implementation of this business idea – its potential is no less than converting vehicles to electric motors.
If you enjoyed this material, share it with your friends – perhaps they too would be interested in outfitting their homes with similar solar panels.
