The future is approaching at an accelerated pace as British company Charge Auto unveils a groundbreaking innovation in the realm of futuristic vehicles. They have introduced a unique modular truck that operates autonomously, powered solely by electric energy. The first manufacturing plant is set to open near the company's headquarters in Oxfordshire, UK, in the year 2015. Production of these revolutionary trucks is scheduled to commence in the same year.

What to Expect from Charge Trucks?

According to the developers, Charge trucks will prioritize safety, lightweight design, elegance, and above all, environmental sustainability. These vehicles will be crafted using lightweight composite materials and state-of-the-art navigation technologies.

The company plans to release multiple truck variations with different load capacities ranging from 2 to 25 tons. A standard charge will allow for a range of 150 kilometers. Additionally, enhanced models will be available, capable of traveling up to 800 kilometers on a single charge.

Besides the technical innovations, another benefit of Charge Auto trucks will be their relative speed and cost-effectiveness in production. It will take only 4 hours to assemble one truck. Based on estimates, a team of 10 workers operating in two shifts can produce up to 10,000 similar vehicles per year. The low production costs, coupled with cheaper fuel and reduced driver payment expenses, are projected by Charge Auto's creators to decrease expenses for logistics companies by 2-4 times.
