Today we are going to talk about electronic devices that are constantly used in our everyday lives, many of which are made of cardboard, known as one of the most environmentally friendly materials.
Mini Power Cardboard External Smartphone Batteries
Users of smartphones are familiar with the issue of battery life scarcity for long device usage. Some overlook this drawback of multifunctional phones, some carry a spare second phone with fewer features but more battery life, while others do not part with an additional external battery. It is for the latter group that designers have developed miniature cardboard batteries.
These devices have several advantages over regular batteries. Firstly, they are only suitable for one-time use, so you won't have to charge and recharge them several times. Secondly, they are very convenient due to their size; a small cardboard battery is much easier to carry around. Thirdly, each device indicates the duration during which the smartphone will operate, allowing you to choose the number of hours you need in a specific situation. At this stage, the company has released external batteries with capacities of two, four, and six hours, with prospects for developing new adaptations in the near future.
Finally, the most significant advantage of Mini Power is its original design aimed at preserving natural resources and improving our environment. The battery casing is made of cardboard, a material obtained from the recycling of paper industry products. By disposing of used batteries, you will not harm the environment since the decomposition process of such a device takes significantly less time compared to the decomposition of a similar battery made of plastic and metal.
GIGS.2.GO Cardboard Flash Drive
The uniqueness of this device, created by the creative designer Kurt Rampton, lies in the fact that the casing for the flash drive's electronic components is made of ordinary cardboard, which can be further recycled, with the drives packaged in special sets with tear-off cells containing flash drives.
This way, you can easily share necessary information with someone at any time without giving away your own flash drive. Alternatively, you can transfer files simultaneously onto multiple drives. Initially, the author developed disposable devices, but the quality of the flash drives allows for endless reuse, similar to regular flash drives.
Cardboard Speakers
If you want to surprise your friends and family with an original and useful gift, consider cardboard speakers! Besides their eco-friendly design, these devices have a significant advantage—you do not need to connect cardboard speakers to a power source but directly to the device storing music tracks.
They can also be compactly packed, assembled, and disassembled when necessary. The only, but not insignificant, downside of such cardboard speakers is their low power and, consequently, not very high audio quality and volume. Nevertheless, this device can be quite useful in various life situations.
